In danger of extinction?

Article Abstract:

The number of psychiatric nurse trainees in the UK has fallen by 50% between 1982 and 1992, leading to fears that specialized mental health nursing may be in crisis. However, when factors such as wastage of qualified nurses, and general trends in nurse recruitment are taken into account, these concerns appear to be premature. A study of how psychiatric nurses look at their careers could provide important data on how to recruit and retain nurses.

Royalties given to employees for their effective research and development are incentives which assist the management and board directors in certifying that research is market-oriented and conducted with a sensible objective. The recent passage of the use of royalties in federal and operator-contracted laboratories will probably influence the use of royalties in private industries as well.
