Article Abstract:
A weight loss supplement called Metabolife 356 may increase blood pressure and cause a heart arrhythmia in people who take it, according to a study of 15 people. This dietary supplement that includes ephedra and caffeine is the most popular weight loss supplement in the US. Other similar supplements include Trimspa Thermogenic Herbal Concentrate, Hydroxycut, and Xenedrine.

The synthetic evidence related to the optimal use of amiodarone for various arrhythmias in the U.S. is presented. The findings recommend judicious use with close follow-up in patients likely to derive the most benefits.
