Interleukin-4 acts at the locus of the antigen-presenting dendritic cell to counter-regulate cytotoxic CD8+ T-cell responses
Article Abstract:
Interleukin-4 has been shown to influence dendritic cells to elicit differences in T-cell responses, demonstrating the basis for its mediation of counter-regulation. This helps explain how interleukin-4 suppresses immune response.

Life after death: controlling autoreactive CD8 (super)+ T-cell responses
Article Abstract:
Immature dendritic cells that take in apoptotic CD40L activates these cells. This mechanism may be the reason for generating autoreactive CD8 (super)+ cells in HIV infection and might suggest a means to regulate autoimmune T-cells during infection.

The economy of T-cell memory: CD4+ recession in times of CD8+ stability?
Article Abstract:
Insight into the patterns of response by each type of T-cell could lead to the development of new therapeutics that enhance or suppress factors governing CD8+ and CD4+ T-cell immunity. In a study conducted in this context it was found that there is a striking difference between the memory phase of CD8+ and CD4+ T-cells in immune mice.
