International prevalence, recognition, and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors in outpatients with atherothrombosis
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine whether atherosclerosis risk factor prevalence and treatment would demonstrate comparable patterns in many countries around the world. The large international contemporary database shows that classic cardiovascular risk factors are consistent and common but are largely undertreated and undercontrolled in many regions of the world.

Accuracy of offspring reports of parental cardiovascular disease history: the Framingham offspring study
Article Abstract:
The accuracy of offspring reports of parental cardiovascular disease of the multigenerational Framingham Heart Study with both parents in the original cohort is discussed. Except for hypertension and high cholesterol levels, negative parental history reports were reliable.
