Article Abstract:
Human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) does not appear to cause non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in HIV patients. In a study of 63 HIV patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and 126 HIV patients without, 41% of the lymphoma patients tested positive for HHV-8 but so did 37% of the other group.
