Is vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) or elective repeat cesarean safer in women with a prior vaginal delivery?
Article Abstract:
A retrospective cohort study determines whether vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) or elective repeat cesarean delivery is safer for a woman. It is concluded that women who have had a prior vaginal delivery have less composite maternal morbidity if they attempt VBAC compared with undergoing an elective repeat cesarean delivery, and the trial of labor is a safer overall option for women who have had a prior vaginal birth.

Diet-controlled gestational diabetes mellitus does not influence the success rates for vaginal birth after cesarean delivery
Article Abstract:
The gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) affects 2 to 5 percent of pregnancies and is associated with increased rates of macrosomia and cesarean delivery. The success rates for attempted vaginal birth after cesarean delivery among gestational diabetic women with non-diabetic women are compared.
