It's time for medicine's family to stop the bickering
Article Abstract:
Professional infighting and self-serving behavior is threatening to tear the medical community apart. Physicians are fighting to protect their own interests, even if their actions are harmful to others. Doctors should remember that, first and foremost, they are physicians, not 'primary care physicians' or some other type of physician, as defined by a health plan. Doctors need to, once again, treat each other with respect.

'Linguistic resistance' can put a face on medicine
Article Abstract:
Physicians can improve patient access to healthcare services by challenging the inhumane language used by managed care organizations.
