GME funding due for a change
Article Abstract:
Six health care organizations and Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY) have separately created similar proposals for redirecting and expanding graduate medical education (GME) funding. Moynihan's bill would create a GME trust fund financed by $9 billion in Medicare contributions and $4 billion each from Medicaid and revenue from a 1.5% assessment on health insurance premiums.
