Living longer: series looks at how to stay healthy as you age
Article Abstract:
The demographics of life expectancy in the US show that Americans are living longer. At the beginning of the 20th century, people were expected to live until 47. Now they can live to the age of 76. One out of every 26 members of the baby boom generation will reach the age of 100. Healthy habit are factors in longevity. People who do not smoke, exercise regularly and avoid obesity live longer and healthier lives.
