House proposal would let associations insure members
Article Abstract:
The US House of Representatives has attached a provision to enable associations to provide health insurance plans for their members to the balanced budget bill. The US Senate does not have this provision in its balanced budget bill and Pres Bill Clinton does not approve of this provision. There is another bill in the House that would enable associations to provide health insurance coverage for its members that would not require state insurance regulation compliance but federal regulation compliance.
