Mapping the theories of preeclampsia: The need for systematic reviews of mechanisms of the disease
Article Abstract:
Preeclampsia, the major cause of morbidity in pregnancy, is still a disease of unknown cause, despite considerable researches. A systematic review approach is required which would help to determine where researches should be focused, to prioritize the use of resources, to understand, and then hope fully to conquer a disease that still kills mothers and infants each year, worldwide.

Misleading authors' inferences in obstetric diagnostic test literature
Article Abstract:
Some doctors who evaluate diagnostic tests for premature birth and preeclampsia are overestimating their usefulness. This can be seen by the fact that they use sensitivity and specificity to evaluate the test's usefulness, rather than a likelihood ratio. The likelihood ratio is a more accurate assessment of a test's usefulness.

A controlled analysis of authorship trends over two decades

More and more researchers are listed as authors on obstetrics and gynecology research papers. This increase in the number of authors listed on a paper is not necessarily caused by increased collaboration among researchers.
