Mental trauma lingers in Tsunami's wake
Article Abstract:
The disastrous impact of tsunami attack in December in South Asia led many organizations to send their mental health experts and volunteers to provide physiological health services for individuals dealing with emotional trauma in the wake of the tsunami. Active outreach teams of community health care workers that provide medical and psychological care are sent to South Asia by Medicines Sans Frontiers that strives to help people get their lives together and work toward their own recovery.

Researchers provide psychiatric care from afar
Article Abstract:
Researchers in Canada are testing a program in which mental health care is provided from afar to children with conditions such as oppositional defiant disorder and anxiety disorders. Approximately 140 family physicians and pediatricians from Nova Scotia have been recruited to collaborate with the program.
