Step up to ladder safety
Article Abstract:
There were 25,383 workers who were injured and 95 employees who died in 1996 after falling from ladders. Companies are urged to prevent the number of ladder-based accidents from increasing in the future by carefully evaluating their equipment for various types of jobs. Firms should also analyze the materials used in ladders and intended applications of the equipment. In addition, companies should examine whether their ladders meet the various requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
