MicroRnas: 'Ribo-regulators' of glucose homeostasis
Article Abstract:
The small noncoding microRNAs (miRNA) known to regulate genes and various neurological disorders are also found to control exocytosis, the final step in the secretory pathway of insulin. The study of these MiRNas can lead to a new therapeutic use of antagomirs in the treatment of type2 diabetes, which is basically caused by the insulin regulated glucose homeostasis and its dysregulation.

Central memory T cells mediate long-term immunity to Leishmania major in the absence of persistent parasites
Article Abstract:
Infection with Leishmania major induces a protective immune response and long-term resistance to reinfection, which is thought to depend upon persistent parasites. It is demonstrated that although effectors CD4+T cells are lost in the absence of parasites, central memory CD4+T cells are maintained.
