Neonatal brain injury
Article Abstract:
The clinical investigation of basic mechanisms of neonatal brain injury and on advances in neuroimaging and developmental biology that may affect potential therapeutic interventions is highlighted. It is suggested that early recognition of at-risk newborns by means of advanced methods of neuroimaging, combined with a plan for rational intervention, may result in the prevention or reduction in the incidence of lifelong disabilities.
