Dynamic mitral regurgitation - more than meets the eye
Article Abstract:
According to a recent finding that shows patients who have acute pulmonary edema subsequently have large exercise induced which increases in mitral regurgitation and related pulmonary pressures. Ischemic mitral regurgitation consequent to myocardial infarction, is characteristically dynamic and sensitive to changes in ventricular size, shape, and loading that restrict closure of the mitral leaflet.

Exogenous surfactant replacement in ARDS- one day, someday, or never?
Article Abstract:
The results of two multicenter trials of recombinant surfactant therapy in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), showing no significant difference in mortality between the groups of patients who received surfactant and those who received placebo is presented.
