Nurses' role in management and treatment of dystonia
Article Abstract:
The neurological movement disorder called dystonia is characterized by sustained muscle contractions that produce twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal posture. The presence of a nurse practitioner in dystonia clinics and the nurse-led botulinum toxin clinic is facilitating patients in receiving frequent, timely, and optimal treatment.
