Nurses' role in nutritional assessment and screening: Second of a two-part series
Article Abstract:
Malnutrition is recognized as a major risk for patients in hospital, and nurses have the responsibility to monitor the risk. The British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) has developed the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool to help standardize the approach to nutritional assessment by identifying patients who are at risk of becoming malnourished.
