A test of the fit between the Corbin and Strauss trajectory model and care provided to older patients after cancer surgery
Article Abstract:
Patients with varying stages of cancer may receive remarkably similar home nursing care. Patient records of 79 older patients with either stomach and intestinal, prostate, or breast cancer receiving home nursing care were analyzed. Patients categorized as stable or unstable did not receive significantly different care. Care patterns did vary, however, by cancer location.
