Off-the-shelf child care
Article Abstract:
Supermarket, Asda, has adopted family-friendly working policies to accommodate staff who have children. Their employees appreciate this and are loyal to the company. Asda also gives paternity leave. The government is considering how it can incorporate these working practices into the National Health Service. However, nurses should be consulted before any radical changes are made. Health Trusts which do not try to accommodate women staff may find they are taken to an industrial tribunal for sex discrimination.
