Opportunities in critical care oncology
Article Abstract:
Perceptions of cancer nursing often emphasize palliative care settings, but there are more opportunities opening up in critical care oncology. Despite hi-tech environment, a passion for the latest medical machinery is not a prerequisite for a career in oncology critical care but fundamental nursing skills such as good communication and empathy remain high on the list of essential attributes.

London's Deaf Enhanced Support Team is helping deaf people with psychotic illness to improve their self-esteem by engaging them with the community and tackle daily issues. The challenges faced by the teams, like lack of suitable mental health tools, while treating deaf patients are discussed.
