Pa. surgery centers are more profitable than hospitals
Article Abstract:
The issue of growth reported by the ambulatory surgery centers whose profit margin is close to 12 percent, whereas, generally acute care hospitals having a margin of just more than 2 percent is debated. It is argued that the popularity and efficiency of surgery centers indicates their better financial performance, however, critics believe that their way of treating patients who have better ability to pay, and offer services adds to their success.
