Panic attack: it's not in your head
Article Abstract:
Individuals suffering from panic disorder can be relieved of their affliction provided they avail of psychotherapy, medication and help from a support group. However, less than 23% of those afflicted with the disorder make an effort to seek professional attention due to the stigma associated with it. If left unaided, victims will eventually have phobias, experience a variety of physical sensations and develop a low level of self-esteem.
