Parkinson's disease: between coping and a cure
Article Abstract:
Parkinson's disease is caused by the accelerated loss of a brain chemical called dopamine. Dopamine replacers, dopamine agonists and selegiline are some of the drugs that control its symptoms. Experimental therapies include pallidotomy and an implanted brain stimulator.
