Parting shots
Article Abstract:
The UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been heavily criticised by politicians for failing to adequately monitor and investigate incidents of injury or accidents in the workplace. The HSE is operating on limited resources and often in a climate of misunderstanding, with employers working against and not with the safety organisation. Parliament needs to show its committment to supporting all efforts made by the HSE in reducing the number of accidents occurring in the workplace.
