Article Abstract:

Roger Hayes, in comments at a Handgun Epidemic Lowering Plan (HELP) press briefing, said that current federal and state tracking efforts provide little information on nonfatal firearm injuries. A HELP survey revealed that, while 2/3 of states collect firearm-injury data, 60% of those states focus, as the federal government does, on fatal injuries.
