Article Abstract:
The 10th RoSPA's (Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents) International Safety and Health Exhibition and Congress, which was held at the National Exhibition Centre in Jun 1992, attracted 13,000 visitors. The exhibition displayed personal protective equipment conforming with the European Community directive, work station design, seating and ancillary equipment for video display units, video and training programmes and equipment and services to comply with the EC directives of Work Display Equipment and Manual Handling of Loads.

Managing your road risk: campaign update
Article Abstract:
The Policy Review Seminar on Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR) was organised by the RoSPA and hosted by Bayer. The event featured a number of short presentations and five workshops. 'At work' road accidents account for 77,000 injuries to employees annually, according to a survey by the Health and Safety Executive. Efficiency and accident cost savings can be made by companies which pursue staff safety while driving.

Wheels of industry. (driver training)
Article Abstract:
There are calls for road traffic accidents to be included in the occupational health and safety figures, as many employees regularly drive as part of their working day. The current driving test does not prepare drivers for stressful situations and some companies are now implementing transport safety programmes which are reducing the number of accidents.
