Population-based surveillance of HIV-associated cancers: Utility of cancer registry data
Article Abstract:
Population-based surveillance of HIV-associated malignancies in the United States is done with the help of cancer registries. The cancer registry data is an optimal strategy used for monitoring HIV-associated lymphomas, anal cancer and it offers benefits over linkage-based indicators in the age of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART).

Article Abstract:
The gastrointestinal tract is the site of early abundant HIV replication and associated marked CD4+ T-cell depletion. A study is done to characterize the basis for the increased HIV replication in this compartment.
