Article Abstract:
Conditions in Kibera, one of some 78 informal settlements on the outskirts of Nairobi, are such that children are exposed to environmental health hazards on a daily basis. Several non-governmental organizations, such as Kenya Water for Health and the Undugu Society, are working to improve slum conditions.
