Article Abstract:
Athletes need to train their abdominal and low back muscles if they want to improve their performance. This is because all athletic movements are linked to the core region of the body. Hence, a strong core allows athletes to realize their full potential by gaining more freedom of movement and power. Suggested forms of exercise for training the abdomen and low back include the low-back press, reverse crunch, back extension and abdominal arch.
