Program assesses older drivers
Article Abstract:
Ohio State University's Older Driver Evaluation Program, which began in Feb. 1993, aims to keep older drivers independent and safe. The program takes about three hours and tests participants' vision, reviews medical history and medication and analyzes cognitive skills, range of motion and reaction time. Although the program cannot revoke a driver's license, the staff may suggest that a client give up driving.
