Prophylaxis strategies for contrast-induced nephropathy
Article Abstract:
The current state of evidence for prophylaxis of contrast-induced nephropathy is summarized and evidence-based recommendations regarding management of high-risk patients undergoing angiographic procedures are presented and new avenues for research are identified. Although, several risk factors for contrast-induced nephropathy are identified, the development of an effective prophylaxis strategy for contrast-induced nephropathy has been limited by poor understanding of the pathophysiology and the clinical significance of this condition.

Renal replacement therapy in patients with acute renal failure
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken with the purpose of consolidating available evidence that guided provision for dialysis for patients with acute renal failure (ARF) besides suggesting managements and scope for additional research. Results reveal that intermittent hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) appear to lead to similar clinical outcomes for patient with ARF.
