Policy decisions
Article Abstract:
Insurance is a major cost in car finance. Since 1992 premiums have increased up to 60 per cent. Classification of risk has extended from nine to 20 groups. Insurers categorise cars according to likelihood of accident or theft. Insurance may be fully comprehensive or third party. Age and driving record will determine the premium. However, age and no-claims discounts may reduce the cost.
