Bodybuilders are frustrated when they encounter training plateaus, or when they make no progress in achieving their goals. Bodybuilders can overcome such plateaus by following the Weider Muscle Confusion Principle, which recommends cycling training intensity and combination low-rep/high-rep training, among others.

Cheating is just an expression

The Weider Cheating Principle is an intensity technique which allows bodybuilders to do forced reps without the aid of a partner by generating momentum with body english. However, many bodybuilders, unaware of what is meant by cheating, do not know how to apply this principle.

Rowing for back and traps

Amateur bodybuilder Michael Guston credits two exercises for building his back and trapezoid muscles. Guston prefers the standard upright row to the shrug in building his trapezoids. For his back muscles, he uses the bent-over row.
