Free vaccine plan won't be national immunization cure-all
Article Abstract:
The Comprehensive Child Immunization Act of 1993 would increase the number of children who were immunized in physicians' offices. Currently, 50% of all vaccines are administered in private facilities and 50% are administered in public clinics. Many poor families find it difficult to obtain free vaccinations at public clinics due to transportation and scheduling difficulties. Under the proposed law, physicians would receive the vaccine free of charge but would be allowed to charge a small administration fee.

Systems best weapon against human error in medicine
Article Abstract:
Humans make errors and mistakes, and errors in medical practice can lead to significant side effects for patients. To minimize the possibility of making mistakes and to reduce the effect of mistakes, medical practitioners should develop various systems to prevent mistakes. Labels, safety guards, computer systems and protocol checklists can help to prevent errors.
