Radiology changing as technology booms
Article Abstract:
The usage of new automated radiological techniques is dramatically changing the role of the radiologist. New developments with imaging systems like ultrasound (US), positron emission-tomography (PET), interventional radiology (IR), computed tomography (CT), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and digital radiography (DR) are progressing at a rapid rate. These techniques will also influence hospitals, health care costs and patient comfort.
