Employee recognition is an important motivating force. Staff members must have opportunities to use their skills and work in a positive, supportive environment. Employers should establish reward and recognition programs that are simple and fair.

The different types of discriminations include illegal discrimination, age discrimination, marital status discrimination, gender discrimination, race and national origin discrimination.

Nurses are expected to percept a student along with their regular duties, which requires extra time and energy. Nurse managers should be aware of the most common stressors that result in nurse preceptors and use some strategies that result in win-win outcomes for the organization, staff and students.
