Should relatives be allowed into the resuscitation room?
Article Abstract:
Patients should to allowed in the resuscitation room because they do not get in the way of medical procedures and have a right to spend time with a dying relative. However, a nurse who is opposed to allowing entry argues that the process of resuscitation is not nice to watch and is seldom successful. The patient has no dignity and relatives are often too distressed to take in what is happening. One benefit of allowing relatives to be there is that they may be able to accept a death more easily.

In search of the skills to talk about sexual issues
Article Abstract:
Family planning nurses have the opportunity to allow patients to discuss their sex lives and related anxieties. The family planning nurse who wants to provide this more holistic type of service should learn the skills which promote a safe environment for frank discussion. These skills include good listening skills, sensitivity, a non-judgemental attitude, and an understanding of body language.
