Risks posed by mystery illness
Article Abstract:
Patients presenting with unknown illnesses may have symptoms that do not fit any known clinical picture or have a set of symptoms that do not normally present in the UK. A discussion on the national advice in dealing with incidents or outbreaks of mystery illness is presented, along with the protocols to be followed by nurses to ensure their own safety and that of other patients.

Article Abstract:
Nursing, originally a caring profession has become a physical profession with much of the demand going on the lower and upper back, because of which most of them develop back injuries. Various Health Trusts are trying to solve the work-related health problems of the nurses by implementing services such as osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture, and special physiotherapy regimens.

'It is fair to assume a link between back injury in nurses and patient obesity'
Article Abstract:
The British Chiropractic Association, in its recent survey showed that moving and handling of a large number of obese patients has led to an increase in the number of nurses with back pain and injuries and hence calls for immediate action to reduce the problem.
