Article Abstract:
Rotary International became the first global organization to work for child immunization when it established its PolioPlus program in 1985. Through the program, the group joins global efforts to totally eradicate poliomyelitis by providing vaccines to children in all parts of the world.

WHO response to epidemics
Article Abstract:
The World Health Organization (WHO) organized a task force after an outbreak of Ebola haemorrhagic fever occurred in Zaire in 1995. The first case of the disease was identified in a 35-year-old man, and the epidemic was considered to be under control by late May 1995.
