School offers nursing program for IMGs
Article Abstract:
Florida International University has attempted to address the issue of stateEs nursing shortage by helping to finance for faculty salaries and part of student tuition, thus aiming to increase the number of competent health care professionals in South Florida. It is an accelerated nursing program for international medical graduates that are gaining recognition among other states like Michigan, Ohio, Nashville, Tenn., and Washington, D.C.

Match antitrust suit awaits action as Match Day arrives

The lawsuit against National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington in May 2002 claims that the NRMP violates federal antitrust laws. The views of the authorities involved supporting and opposing the NRMP are presented.
