Sealant use and placement techniques among pediatric dentists
Article Abstract:
The use of pit and fissure dental sealants varies substantially, according to a survey of 848 dentists and 47 dental schools. These sealants are spread over teeth in an attempt to prevent cavities. The survey found that dentists vary over the patient selection, tooth selection, placement technique, surface preparation, sealant materials, and success rate.
