Seasonal influences on childhood lead exposure
Article Abstract:
Studies indicate that seasonal fluctuations in children's blood lead levels may result from increased exposure to lead content in soil and dust. Research was based on outdoor activity habits in warmer months, in which children tracked in contaminated soil or street dust into their homes, thus elevating and lengthening their exposure.
