A burning question
Article Abstract:
Many nurses smoke, although they often see the effect smoking can have on their patients. Doctors are also aware of the harmful effects of smoking, but most do not smoke. Many nurses also ignore health factors by living and working in poor conditions and eating badly. Perhaps the reason for this is the necessity to detach themselves from their patients so that they can live their lives.

Abuse of trust
Article Abstract:
The establishment of personal relationships in health care situations is an abuse of trust. Professionals should control their feelings as they are damaging to the therapeutic relationship. Absence of control will damage public confidence. Professionals should set boundaries around their work that preclude sexual relationships as patients are vulnerable when seeking health care.
