Selling a practice
Article Abstract:
The following recommendations may help nurse practitioners (NPs) in selling their practice: Weigh the pros and cons. Talk to several potential purchasers if possible. Ask potential buyers how NPs fit into their practice. Set a value on assets, including tangible assets, account receivables, and intangibles such as goodwill. Negotiate who will assume practice liabilities and what jobs will be offered to current employees. Plan on the process taking longer than expected. Involve an attorney and an accountant.
