Just what we needed
Article Abstract:
Much of modern medical intervention acts to correct damage to the body thatmay be the result of poor diet and high-risk behavior. Fascination with such biomedical achievements as cloning and organ transplants allows us to overlook personal responsibility in establishing and maintaining good health with proper diet and habits. Attempts to attribute self-destructive behavioral problems to genetics are increasing. Limited finances suggest money spent on high-tech achievements is taken away from programs to support health promotion and disease prevention.

Send in the clones
Article Abstract:
There are many issues surrounding the concept of cloning, but there will probably be a gradual public acceptance of its usage for the good of humanity. Interest in animal cloning is connected with pharmaceutical farming, in which animals are injected to produce human genes in their milk for drug treatments. Cloning would make the process cheap and easy through reproduction of transgenic sheep. Another possible use of cloning would be the development of stem cells from a woman's egg and healthy body cells for her own leukaemia treatment.
