Stand and deliver
Article Abstract:
The recent decision by nurses to agree to a change to Rule 12 is part of a wider trend towards nurses being more prepared to stand up for themselves. They are now willing to take militant action when necessary, having for many years suffered at the hands of governments which took them for granted. They have not taken this decision lightly, and many do not wish to be put in a position where they would have to consider taking strike action.
