Sunlight and the 10-year incidence of age-related maculopathy: the Beaver Dam eye study
Article Abstract:
The association of sunlight exposure and indicators of sun sensitivity with the 10-year incidence of age-related maculopathy (ARM) is examined. Participants were at a higher risk of developing increased retinal pigment and early ARM when exposed to the summer sun for more than 5 hours a day during their teens, in their 30s and at the baseline examination.
