Taking resuscitation decisions in the nursing home setting
Article Abstract:
A commentary distinguishes between resuscitation decisions taken in hospitals and those made in nursing homes for the aged. The principles laid down by the Mental Capacity Act have still to be tested, and until then it seems that prompt and suitable decisions with respect to resuscitation can only be made based on the patient's best interest and benefit.
