Tends in twin neonatal mortality rates in the Unite States, 1989 through 1999: Influence of birth registration and obstetric intervention

Article Abstract:

A population-based, retrospective cohort study is conducted to evaluate the contributions of changes in birth registration, labor induction and cesarean delivery on trends in twin neonatal mortality rates. The conclusion sates that increases in preterm birth because of obstetric intervention among twins have not led to increase in twin neonatal mortality rat4es in the United Sates.

Fetal transcerebellar diameter measurement with particular emphasis in the third trimester: A reliable predictor of gestational age

Article Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to validate prospectively a previous retrospectively established nomogram for the prediction of gestational age using transcerebellar diameter, especially in the third trimester. This prospective study demonstrates that transcerebellar diameter measurement is an accurate predictor of gestational age, even in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Article Abstract:

A study aims to identify factors that predict a decision to interrupt a pregnancy in which there are fetal anomalies in the second trimester. Early diagnosis, the identification of multiple abnormalities, and an assessment of likely lethality of fetal anomalies are important factors for the optimization of parental autonomy in deciding pregnancy management.
